Sydney Beaches
Sydney is famous for its beaches. While Bondi is Sydney's best known beach, there are so many locations to choose from, whether you want to relax, sinking you toes into the sand, lie in one of the old ocean pools or catch some waves on a surfboard

World famous and perfect for people watching, Bondi Beach is a must for visitors to Sydney. The ever popular Manly really is a paradise where the Norfolk Pine trees line the long picturesque beach. To the north of Manly Beach is Queenscliff with its lovely seaside pool. Take the scenic walk from Manly Beach around to Shelly Beach which resembles a remote oasis a million miles from anywhere.

To the south of Sydney there are some great beaches and bushland to explore. The two most popular swimming spots are Maroubra and Cronulla. 

The Harbour Beaches are perfect family locations and don’t require a lot of travelling effort. Visit the famous Balmoral with its ideal cafes and restaurants, Chinaman’s and Clontarf Beaches, both also lovely picnic spots.

Many of our beaches are renowned for their beautiful man-made ocean pools on the situated onshores. From Palm Beach in the north to Cronulla in the south, find picturesque swimming pools at Mona Vale, Long Reef, Dee Why, Curl Curl, Freshwater, Manly, Bondi, Bronte, Clovelly, Coogee or Cronulla.

Located on the water’s edge at Circular Quay and easily accessed by ferry, bus and train.

Sydney Harbour Bridge
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is is an iconic image of both Sydney and Australia. Linking the city with North Sydney, it carries eight lanes of road traffic and two railway tracks which form part of the city's rail suburban network.  A look out is located in the south-eastern pylon (overlooking Circular Quay) with 360 degree views and museum covering the history of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There are about 200 steps to get to the top but the views are some of the best in Sydney.

Sydney Museums
Australia's largest and most popular museum is the Powerhouse Museum, located in Darling Harbour. Its unique and diverse collection of 385,000 objects spans history, science, technology, design, industry, decorative arts, music, transport and space exploration.

The Museum has an ever-changing program of exhibitions covering approximately three soccer fields in size. It presents 22 permanent exhibitions and several temporary exhibitions, complemented by more than 250 interactives.

A visit to the Powerhouse Museum can include touch screen computers, audio phones, science experiments, virtual reality 3D theatres, extraordinary performances, films, highlight tours, fascinating lectures and public programs. The Museum has a range of education services and a members organisation.
